Newsletter Vol. 41 • Knowing and Honoring Your Story
Jenny and I send our love and deepest respect to your unique and amazing journey.
We trust that you are navigating with your sense of Self trust and worth intact.
I felt compelled to share what has been on my mind for some time...and that is how much we neglect our story that we call "life".
I understand that I am in the business of knowing your story and with it, I come equipped with an innate ability to extract the story out of people and help them see the real value behind it. But I am also aware of how much people do not take the time to get to know each other's story (which is usually a reflection of self neglect). I am still somewhat surprised to see how much people don't know my story, what I have done, where I have been, and what I am equipped with, but still talk to me like they know and assume how much I don't know. Before, this used to bother me. Because, it was exposing how much I was needing to be understood. But as I sit more comfortably with my own self worth and value of my story, I am able to observe this more clearly. That their lack of interest in your story is a reflection of the neglect of their own. This is also why some demand for others to hear their story without taking the time to first listen to other's. Again, needing external validation...
So, I write today to implore you to reflect on your story.
Your struggles, pains, every drop of tear you've shed, and equally, your joy, pleasure, and passion. Your light and shade, both equally important, beautiful, and completely valid. And as you reflect, take the time to really honor it, appreciate it, and revel in it. You may begin to see that everyone around you also has an equally dynamic, unique, and inspiring story of their own. And, you may find that your story is worth telling and instead of vomiting all over people with it, you will find its most fitting platform, timing, and method to tell yours that best honors your story...
From the Heart,
